High winds bring down an oak tree in the south east side of The Square (Ancient Woods). It falls onto the side of All Saints Greater Hall but luckily it fell slowly, and the main trunk landed in the gap between two lean-tos with only a few minor branches hitting the lower roof, causing tile damage and a broken window. Those inside the hall attending a children's activity were shaken but unharmed. VoGC Parks dept. were quick respond, sending tree cutters that evening to remove.
